The stream will feature popular live streamers and personalities such as Jesse Cox, Dodger, Strippin, and Bikeman as brave adventurers in Mercer’s created world.

Developed originally as a potential stretch goal for the game’s Kickstarter campaign, Game Master Mode aims to capture the tabletop RPG experience for up to four adventurers and their game master. (Very similar to that of classic D&D) – The mode itself will focus on story telling, while the game master has complete control over the campaign they choose to create.

The customization will feature a huge range of included pre-built settings and character models to create custom combat and role-playing encounters. Game masters will also be able to use Divinity: Original Sin 2’s modding tools to build their own battle arenas, villages, unique dungeons, and plenty of other classic fantasy adventure style settings.

Role-playing and NPC interactions are achieved through what they call a “vignettes system" – which allows the game master to create “text cards” which in turn allow players as adventurers within the custom game to pick between different dialogue, decision options, and dice-based skill checks. Whether any action is actually successful of course is decided by the game master alone. They’ll also have the ability to directly take control of NPCs or let monsters fight automatically.

Campaigns can be uploaded and shared within the community through Steam Workshop, making it easy for game masters and fellow players to discover new user-created adventures to play.
